LGBTQIA+ CELL

PANACHE: THE QUEER DIARY

This was an introductory event where we started off with launching the avenue, educating and spreading awareness about the community and why is it important for LGBTQIA awareness to be included in the medical curriculum.

Pride unplugged

The aim was to spread awareness about the various notable people, movements and the history of the community. Not only the members of RC Medicrew, but also everyone who had an access to the widely used app- “Spotify” would have an opportunity to hear and learn about the community in the form of a podcast.

Rights reflect survey

On the occasion of Human Rights Awareness Day, which is celebrated each year on 10th December, we wanted to host an event that really gets the participants thinking about the kind of grave human rights violations that people of the LGBTQ+ community have faced.

Facial Feminisation Webinar

This was a webinar with a renowned plastic surgeon where he explained various aspects of transgender surgeries and their procedures.

Courageous Conversations

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, which is celebrated each year on 1st December, we wanted to host an event that both raises awareness and sensitises people towards this major health crisis. We wanted to draw special emphasis on the fact that the stigma against HIV disproportionately affects people of the LGBTQ+ community.
